Visa On Arrival (B1)

The Visa on Arrival (VOA) is one of the most popular and convenient ways to enter Indonesia, especially for short-term visitors coming to Bali for tourism.

Key Facts

  • Single-entry only. The VOA becomes invalid as soon as you leave Indonesia.
  • Duration. The visa is initially valid for 30 days and can be extended once for another 30 days. This means you can stay up to 60 days in total before you must exit the country.

Who Can Apply for a VOA

Citizens of 98 countries are eligible (including Australia, USA, UK, Germany, France, Japan, South Korea, India, Canada, and many others).
If your country is not on the list, you’ll need to apply for another tourist visa, such as 211A or D1.
👉 Citizens of ASEAN countries can enter Indonesia without a visa.

How to Get a VOA

You can obtain a VOA in three ways:

  1. At the airport upon arrival — pay at the designated visa counter.
  2. Online in advance — via the Immigration website: molina.imigrasi.go.id.
  3. Through our agency — we handle everything for you.

💰 Cost:

  • At the airport: 500,000 IDR (~35 USD).
  • With our assistance (including processing and support): 900,000 IDR (~65 USD).

📌 Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry.

Extending Your VOA in Bali

If you want to stay longer than 30 days, you must extend your VOA.

  • Start the process at least 14 business days before your visa expires.
  • Required documents: passport photo page, entry stamp, and a personal photo.
  • In some cases, the original passport will be needed.

💰 Extension Fees:

  • 900,000 IDR — if you apply at least 3 business days before expiry.
  • 1,500,000 IDR — for certain nationalities (e.g., China, Nigeria, Pakistan, etc.).

Processing time: about 2 weeks (fast-track service available in 3–7 working days).
📍 Biometrics are required for all applicants.

FAQs

  • Can I re-enter on the same VOA? No. It’s a single-entry visa. Each new entry requires a new VOA.
  • Can I extend online myself? Yes, but the Immigration system often has technical issues. Agencies can handle the process smoothly.
  • What if I want to stay long-term? You’ll need to apply for another visa type (С1, C12, D1/D2, D12, or KITAS).
